The Kansas City Chiefs football team was established in 1960. They are the professional American football team of Kansas City, Missouri. From 1963 to 1971, they occupied the Municipal Stadium. The team is a member of the Western Division of the American Football League of the NFL. The team was named originally as Dallas Texans and was founded by Lamar Hunt in 1960 as charter member of the AFL. It was in 1963 when the team moved to Kansas City, Missouri.
