Nicholas Jerry "Nick" Jonas (born September 1992, 16 March) is an American singer, songwriter and actor, best known as a pop rock band “Jonas Brothers” member, the team he founded with his brothers Joe and Kevin. Initially, “The Jonas Brothers” were prepared as Nick's solo project, but the producers liked the sound when the other two brothers carried out auxiliary vocals.

Nick started his musical career at the age of 10 and in 2004 being 12 years old he released his debut single “Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)”. After Columbia Records listened to Nick’s song “Please Be Mine” they gave “Jonas Brothers” a green light. In 2006 band released their first album “It's About Time”. After their first album Columbia Records dropped the band and they were left with no label, but in 2007 the group signed “Hollywood Records” and released their second self-titled album “Jonas Brothers”, which reached number #5 in Billboard 200 after its release only in one week. Since its release the album has sold over 3 million copies. Next year “Jonas Brothers” released their third studio work called “A Little Bit Longer”, which sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

Nick Jonas latest and recent work is a solo act which is called “Nick Jonas and The Administration”. Besides Nick Jonas, The Administration features guitarist David Ryan Harris, bassist John Fields, drummer Michael Bland and keyboardist Tommy Barbarella. With this project Nick wants to accomplish his ideas he accumulated over three years, which he believes was not fitting Jonas Brothers. Their latest album is titled “Who I Am” and will be released in 2010 and will be accompanied with a tour of same name in early 2010. In a press release Jonas stated that, “With this tour we're going to try to accomplish the same thing we did in the studio, that's capturing some heart and soul in the music, and having fun doing it”.
